In this video we look at recording vocals in Logic Pro X. We touch on set up, mic positioning and placement as well as ways to create more natural sounding takes in Logic Pro X.

Using Logic Pro X’s track stacks (cmd+alt+d) we can quickly create channels grouped by a sub mix bus. This allows us to create one vocal plugin chain for each section of our song. Verse, chorus etc.
This not only saves us CPU but it can make recording vocals a lot quicker. Personally, if recording vocals line by line, I like to place each line onto a new track. It is then easy to sum each track into one afterwards.
