Do you know what upsets me the most? Songs, in particular R&B songs, that don’t have a bridge!
The bridge is my favourite part of any song, and I wish more songs had them again. Whether due to the playlist culture birthed through Spotify, laziness or a lower level of musicianship, song bridges are far and few between these days.
So I’ve created a new series hoping to help fix those issues, well at least the latter two. In this series I’ll be breaking down some of the best R&B bridges. Mainly looking at the chord progressions.
